Lan Tran’s previously published work includes essays and creative non-fiction in Word and Image (Pearson, 2010), A New Literary History of America (Harvard University Press, 2009), Waking Up American (Seal Press, 2005), and Falling Backwards (Hourglass Books, 2004). Lan is a recipient of the PEN/Rosenthal Fellowship, as well as residency fellowships from Hedgebrook, the Ragdale Foundation, and the Vermont Studio Center. She is the writer/performer of three off-Broadway solo shows.
