Karen Bram Casady

Karen Bram Casady spent her professional career as a business writer and editor working with large commercial clients including Kaiser Permanente, Southern California Edison and the City of Los Angeles. Her poetry and short fiction appear in print and online publications including Manuscript, literary journal of Los Angeles Valley College and The Northridge Review, the literary magazine of California State University, Northridge. She has two published collections of poetry, Effervescent (2015) and Intangibles (2018). She produced two of her plays, Fresh Meat and Octopi Wall Street, in the 2018 and 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festivals respectively. The opening monologue of Octopi Wall Street won a nationally recognized award at the Region 8 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival as its 2019 Monologue Selection. She graduated in May 2019 with her MA in English/Creative Writing from CSUN.
