Jenise Miller is an urban planner and inaugural DSTL Arts Artist-in-Residence in Compton. She was a 2018 Voices of Our Nations Arts (VONA) workshop fellow in poetry. She recently published her first chapbook, The Blvd, which explores experiences growing up in Compton that few hear.
